Kathy
Records Assistant
Kathy takes care of the office's records and lab work, and orders all the dental supplies. An Omaha native, she has been working for Dr. Igel since September 1990. She has more than 30 years of experience.
Kathy graduated from Mercy High School and attended Metro Community College for dental assistant training.
Kathy likes her job because she enjoys "seeing the huge change orthodontics can make in a person." She likes Dr. Igel's office because "team members are great to work with, and Dr. Igel is the best boss ever to work for."
Linda, FAADOM
Practice Administrator
Linda is responsible for the general operations of Dr. Igel's office. She handles the accounting, human resources, information technology and statistical tracking. "I've enjoyed watching the practice grow and change into the paperless office it is today."
Linda started working for Dr. Igel in 1997 and has 14 years of experience as an office manager. A native of Adrian, MN, she earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Bellevue University. She is a member and fellow of the American Association of Dental Office Managers (FAADOM). She is also a member of Metro Omaha Dental Office Leaders (MODOL) and the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
"I am fascinated by the technology we have implemented. Everything is digital, touch screen, wireless, and paperless – there is so much automation! And the emphasis placed on ensuring every patient has a great experience at the office is awesome to see as displayed by the entire Igel team!”
Linda's husband of 28 years is a construction contractor, "which means we are always working on some project at our house." They have two grown children, enjoy working and volunteering, and welcome the occasional vacation when time allows.
Helen
Insurance Coordinator
Helen verifies and files insurance claims for Dr. Igel's patients. She started working for Dr. Igel in August 1999, and has 12 years of experience. She is from Omaha.
"Dr. Igel's office prides itself on making sure the patient experience is our no. 1 priority," Helen said.
Jennifer
Treatment Coordinator
Jennifer works with Dr. Igel in reviewing the patent's ideal treatment plan during the consultation appointment. Jennifer ensures all questions have been answered regarding Dr. Igel's treatment recommendations as well as the patient's future appointments, finances and insurance. She started working for Dr. Igel in November 1998 and has more than 12 years of orthodontic experience.
A native of South Dakota, Jennifer graduated from Madison High School and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers.
"I love being an educator about braces. I enjoy building rapport with patients and their families," said Jennifer."We are a family in Dr. Igel's office, and I am always reminded how much I am appreciated."
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family. Husker football is a favorite pastime.
Jamie
Orthodontic Assistant
Jamie assists Dr. Igel with treating patients. An Omaha native, Jamie has been working for Dr. Igel since July 2001.
Jamie graduated from Millard North High School and attended Metro Community College for dental assistant training. She has 10 years of experience.
"Dr. Igel is really great to work for because he treats you like family," Jamie said. "You can tell he loves what he does and appreciates the people who work for him."
Tisha
Orthodontic Assistant
Tisha assists Dr. Igel with treating patients. She has been working for Dr. Igel since October 2000, and has 11 years of experience.
Tisha was born at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue and graduated from Bellevue West High School. She attended College of St. Mary and Metro Community College.
Tisha likes her job because "there are many opportunities for doing many things in orthodontics, compared to general dentistry. The best thing I like about working in Dr. Igel's office is his positive attitude."
Sheila
Orthodontic Assistant/Treatment Coordinator
Sheila fills dual roles in assisting Dr. Igel with treating patients, and facilitating the process for new patients as well. She has been working for Dr. Igel since May 2005, and has 12 years of experience.
Sheila was born in York, NE, but grew up in Norfolk. She graduated from Norfolk High School.
"I love that orthodontics is more hands-on work for the assistants," Sheila said. "I enjoy getting to know the patients and their families. Dr. Igel is awesome and so much fun to work for!"
Lisa
Appointment coordinator
Lisa greets patients, answers the phone and schedules appointments. She has been working for Dr. Igel since May 2010.
An Omaha native, Lisa graduated from Papillion-LaVista Senior High and attended Metro Community College.
Lisa enjoys her position in Dr. Igel's office because "I like the atmosphere of working in orthodontics."
Roxanne
Appointment Coordinator
Roxanne schedules appointments, greets patients and answers the phone. A Council Bluffs native, she has been working for Dr. Igel since 2010.
"I like interacting with people," Roxanne said about her job. "Our team at Dr. Igel's office is amazing. We all like what we do, and we care about our patients. We have amazing teamwork and it shows!"
Danielle
Orthodontic Assistant
Danielle assists Dr. Igel with treating patients. She has been working for Dr. Igel since May 2010, and has 13 years of experience.
A native of Phoenix, Danielle graduated from Sunny Slope High School and The Bryman School for dental assisting. She is certified in CPR and taking X-rays.
"I love seeing patients transition from start to finish," Danielle said about her work. "You get to watch them grow up and mature. We get to meet some really great people."
Tom
Financial Coordinator
Tom prepares letters and contracts for patients at the start of treatment. He also monitors accounts receivable.
Tom started working for Dr. Igel in March 2011 and has three years of experience in his field. A native of Omaha, he graduated from Westside High School and the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
"Working in orthodontics gives me the satisfaction of helping patients feel more confident," Tom said. "I like working in Dr. Igel's office because it makes all my friends jealous that I work with an office full of women."
In his spare time, Tom likes to cheer for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Braves. He also plays golf.
Kayla
Orthodontic Assistant
Kayla assists Dr. Igel with treating patients. An Omaha native, Kayla joined Dr. Igel’s team this summer after working as a summer intern. Kayla graduated from Bellevue East High School and attended Metro Community College for dental assistant training.
"Dr. Igel and the team are awesome to work with. It’s a great place to work. Almost all the people in my dental assisting class are jealous that I get to work with Dr. Igel!
